Second Chance Program rescues, vaccinates, and fosters at-risk dogs and cats until adoption. Through our Spay & Neuter Initiative and TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program with the Humane Society of Yuma, every animal is fixed and community cat colonies are managed humanely — helping prevent unwanted litters.

Through our TNR program with HSOY, we help keep at-risk cats and dogs out of the shelter system altogether — giving HSOY one less intake to manage and Yuma County’s animals a second chance before they ever need a kennel.

Shelter Whisperer Project Foundation was built on a simple belief: every neglected or rehomed pet deserves a true second chance, not a life spent waiting behind bars. We believe in adopt, don’t shop — every foster placement means one more animal saved, one less pet without a home, and one more family discovering the loyalty of a pet who almost got overlooked. From day one, our mission has stayed the same: connect Yuma County’s most vulnerable animals with the people ready to love them, one foster home at a time.
