How It Started

When I stopped by to look at some of the smaller dogs, I never expected to meet such a bright spirit. As we walked past the kennels, one big, smiling face caught my eye. A staff member, a self-described cat lover, lit up and said, “ If I ever adopted a big dog, it would be Mary Jane,’ and led me straight to her kennel.”

A smooth-coated Pointer mix with perfect black-and-white markings and a tail that never stopped wagging. She’s playful, affectionate, and loves people, enjoying toys, fetch, long walks, and being petted. She’s leash-trained, treat-motivated, and simply full of joy, the kind of dog who makes everyone around her smile.

Mary Jane would fit right into an active household or a family with kids who can match her energy. She’s graceful, loving, and radiates happiness, part Pointer and all heart.
