Foster a pet or donate — help us give Yuma County pets a second chance

We’re not a traditional shelter — we’re a 100% foster-based rescue, giving every pet in our care a real home while they wait for their forever one. Every foster, adopter, and donor becomes part of that story — because it takes a village, and there’s a place in it for you. Businesses and community partners are always welcome to join us too. Here’s how you can get involved.
Curious who’s currently available? We don’t keep an adoption list of our own — tap the Petfinder link on our Partners page to see pets ready for adoption right now through the Yuma Humane Society. If one catches your eye, your best bet is to visit the shelter in person soon after they open, since popular pets are often adopted the same day, before a call or email ever gets returned. You never know — your new best friend could already be waiting for you!
Help with transport runs, adoption events, photos, or spreading the word on social media — no long-term commitment required. We’re also always looking for hands with our TNR (trap-neuter-return) efforts, helping keep Yuma County’s community cat population healthy and under control. Fostering: opening your home temporarily to a dog or cat while they wait for their forever family, with our full support and guidance every step of the way.
Every gift helps cover vetting, food, supplies, and adoption fee assistance for the animals in our care. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with no shelter building of our own, we rely entirely on donations and volunteer support to keep our foster network running. Giving is simple — just use the Donate button at the top of our site, or reach out to us directly, and know it goes straight toward a pet’s second chance.
Every gift is a little hope for a heart in need — donate today!
